Understanding the Charts

These interactive charts visualize key Bitcoin mining network metrics over time. The hashrate distribution chart shows how mining power is split among pools — a healthy network has no single pool exceeding 50%. The difficulty vs. price chart reveals how mining economics shift with market conditions. Network hashrate history tracks the total computational power securing Bitcoin, while earnings per PH/s helps miners estimate revenue trends.

How to Read Mining Data

Hashrate is measured in exahashes per second (EH/s), representing trillions of hash calculations. When network difficulty rises, each hash has a lower probability of finding a block, reducing earnings per unit of hashrate. The earnings chart shows satoshis earned per petahash per day (sat/PH/day), which is the standard unit miners use to compare profitability across different time periods and pools.
